The weather here in the East Bay Area keeps changing and people are susceptible to falling sick when the temperatures fluctuate as they have been. Here is a recipe for a Garlic Oxymel – this is a great immune booster to take at the first signs of a cold or flu.
Needed: At least 1 bulb of garlic, Local honey*, Apple Cider Vinegar, Water.
Instructions:
Drink 1/3 to 1/2 cup of warm liquid, two to three times a day, eating at least 2 cloves of the cooked garlic with each serving. Oxymel may be kept covered in the refrigerator for 4 weeks.
*do not give honey to children under 1 year old.
