Today, December 1st, is World AIDS Day. 28 million people have lost their life due to this disease. We can only make progress if programs supporting AIDS awareness and organizations providing treatment are backed by strong financial contributions. November is American Diabetes Month and this is a disease that seems to be affecting everyone, most of us know someone who has diabetes. Diabetes occurrence is at epidemic levels in our country, an estimated 7.8% of the population has diabetes.
